Refreshing Drinks
Strawberry Lemonade
from Real Simple
Substitute sparkling water for still water in the recipe for classic lemonade,
and add 6 to 8 fresh strawberries, pureed in a blender, for a fizzy,
refreshing drink.

Minty Lemonade
When life hands you a hot day, you naturally make lemonade. As the summer
wears on, though, you may long for a bit of extra zip. Start with the classic
recipe:
Place 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 12 lemons), 1/2 cup
sugar and 1 cup water in a large pitcher. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then
add 5 more cups water, a few slices of lemon to garnish and plenty of ice.
To make this lemon-mint cooler, add 1 cup torn mint leaves and two 12-ounce
cans club soda to the classic recipe.
Citrus-Aide
2 lemons
4 limes
2 oranges
Sweetener to taste (ie. 1/3 cup maple syrup)
8 ice cubes
Juice the lemons, limes and oranges and pour into a large pitcher.
Add the maple syrup or sweetener and stir well to dissolve.
Add ice cubes, and top up with cold water.
More Variations
Combine any of the above, such as Lavender Citrus-Ade or Mint Iced Tea Lemonade.
Use sparkling water instead of mineral water.
For extra citrusy flavour, shave some of the lemon, lime or orange rind and add to the lemonade.
