Violacea Species Tulip:
The Tulip 'Violacea', 'Tulipa species', a fall planted bulb, produce striking violet pink flowers with blue centers on short stems. The Species Tulips are rarely planted in large masses as their main feature is their uniqueness. Species Tulips are suitable for rock gardens and small group plantings and prefer to be left in the ground to multiply naturally. Species tulips are the wildflowers of the tulip family. The leaves should not be cut back until they begin to yellow. This permits bulbs to recharge before going summer-dormant.
