Red Emperor Fosteriana Tulip:
The Tulip 'Red Emperor', or 'Madame Lefeber', 'Tulipa fosteriana', is a fall planted bulb. This old-time favorite, loved by all gardeners, produces very large, bright vermillion-scarlet blooms. Highly recommended for your early spring garden. It wouldn't be spring without Red Emperors, crowning the garden with rich color. For the best effects, plant the bulbs in clusters of 5 to 15 bulbs of one variety, or scatter clusters throughout the garden or flower border. Tulips are excellent for mass planting, rock gardens, containers, cut flowers, and borders.
