The Iris 'Rosario', 'Iris hollandica', a fall planted bulb, is admired in the garden because of its elegant presence and the beauty of this unusual iris is unmatched. It is a beautiful variety, excellent performer, and ideal for cut flowers. Dutch Iris thrives best in moist, well-draining soil. The Iris blooms in late spring to early summer for a 2 - 3 week period. Plant Dutch Iris bulbs in 10 to 14 day intervals to enjoy a continuous supply of cut flowers. In cold areas the Iris should be mulched in winter to protect from frost. They are deer, rabbit and squirrel resistant.
