Yellow Crocus:
The Crocus 'Yellow', 'Crocus flavus', a fall planted bulb, is a classic golden-yellow variety that sparkles in the spring sunshine before anything else has begun to grow. They are excellent for naturalizing. Crocus is easy to grow, and it is native to the hilly meadows and woodlands of Greece, Turkey and the Balkans. Yellow Crocus blooms in early spring and has a 3 week bloom period. Crocus bulbs remaining in the ground will always bloom a bit earlier than the ones planted the previous year. Use them in rock gardens, ground covers, containers, mass plantings and borders.
