Vera Amaryllis:
The Amaryllis 'Vera', 'Hippeastrum', produces large pink blush blooms. Amaryllis are great for cut flowers and they also can be grown indoors. This plant is resistant to deer. Of all flowering bulbs, amaryllis are the easiest to bring to bloom. This can be accomplished indoors or out, and over an extended period of time. The planting period extends from October to April and the flowering period lasts for 6 to 7 weeks. Amaryllis can be grown outdoors in frost free areas. They also can be grown in colder regions. In cold regions, pull up the bulbs before winter, and store them until spring.
