The Amaryllis Double 'Blossom Peacock', 'Hippeastrum', unfolds large, fully double blooms in delicate white with a pink fringe. Amaryllis are great for cut flowers and they also can be grown indoors. This plant is resistant to deer. Of all flowering bulbs, amaryllis are the easiest to bring to bloom. The amaryllis comes in many beautiful shades of red, white, pink, salmon, orange and multicolored varieties. The planting period extends from October to April and the flowering period lasts for 7 to 8 weeks. In cold regions, pull up the bulbs before winter, and store them until spring.
