Irish Moss:
The Sagina Irish Moss, 'Sagina subulata', is one of the most popular ground covers around. The lush, deep green foliage stays compact and produces tiny white flowers. It is extremely dense and spready by creeping stems to form it mossy carpet. ‘Irish Moss’ is not known for its flowering but its foliage. The tiny white flowers will appear late spring into early summer. Use ‘Irish Moss between paving stones, rock walls, as an edging plant or as a small-scale groundcover.
