Gold Bullion Mountain Bluet:
The Centaurea ‘Gold Bullion’, Centaurea montana, has small thistle-like single flowers at the end of a delicate stem, being bright blue and very showy. With a height of 18-24” and a plant width of 18-24”, it is an excellent late summer to early fall bloomer. The foliage color of ‘Gold Bullion’ is more unique than the rest. Use Centaurea ‘Gold Bullion’ massed in border fronts, cottage gardens or naturalized areas. For planting with other perennials, try ‘Illumination’ Vinca, ‘Variegated’ Sedum or Echinacea ‘Purple Coneflower’.
