The sun oven is as safe to use as a conventional oven.  The exterior surfaces of the oven and the reflectors remain safe to touch while cooking.  The glass door and cooking containers do, of course, get hot, so use of hot pads is required when removing food from the hot oven. The interior surfaces of the oven are treated with a non-toxic durable coating. 

Convenient and easy. Food stays warm even after the hot part of the day has passed due to the exceptional insulation in the oven.  An adjustable tilt leg at the back of the oven's base allows aiming towards the Sun during winter, morning and evening.
