Cougar Annie's Garden

This month take a walk back through time to the turn of the century. This was the time when Cougar Annie (Ada Annie Rae Arthur) settled on the rugged and forbidding west coast of Vancouver Island. In that inhospitable place she created a magnificent garden and an unforgettable story.

Cougar Annie's Garden by Margaret Horsfield tells Ada Annie Rae Arthur’s story. It also tells the story of her garden. The book combines west coast history with fantastic drama. It describes Cougar Annie’s life that included marrying four husbands and giving birth to 11 children while she developed a nursery, general store and post office.
